I am a child of the Earth,

my human mother gave me birth.

She gave me eyes, big and blue,

to appreciate the morning dew.

She gave me hair, long and flowing,

tossed by the wind, gently blowing.

She gave me skin like alabaster,

smooth and silky, like a new mown pasture.

She gave me a body, firm and strong,

to care for her from dusk til dawn.

She gave her wondrous gifts to me,

the mountains, the seas and the Pleaides.

The bird, the tortoise and the tree,

we are all one don't you see.

One universal family,

The Stars, the Earth and Me!
